Former NBA Players Visit Jakarta
After several NBA players, like Danny Granger and David Lee, now turn to one of the NBA legend Sam Perkins, came to Jakarta, Monday (24 / 5). Perkins came along with former WNBA star Sue Wicks.
Perkins who has appeared twice in the NBA finals with the LA Lakers and Seattle SuperSonics with the Wicks gives a brief training basketball for 49 children's orphanage in the United States Embassy in Jakarta. Any instruction given by Perkins and Wicks who assisted Indonesian basketball stars, like Fictor Roring, Andi Batam, and Xavier Prawiro enthusiastically followed.
In addition to strengthening cooperation between Indonesia and the U.S., the arrival of Perkins and Wicks as an ambassador for the NBA and the WNBA is also intended to popularize the sport of basketball for the young generation in Indonesia.
